One of our truly unique gifts

This unique gift was commissioned as a special birthday gift for a young N.Y. couple, professional ballet dancers who travel extensively. The piece was designed
to be able to travel with them.

The lightweight box was handcrafted from antique baltic pine, the front silkscreened, then the whole work given 12 layers of beeswax polish inside and out. The artwork opens to reveal a painting of N.Y. at night and surrounded with a 3D framework of balsa wood collaged with extracts from letters relative to the lives of the young  couple.

The doors contain compartments where they can store personal keepsakes and utilize the personalized photo album and diary made of leather and handmade paper.
